Alaska Native Voices partners

Alaska Native Voices and Alaska Native Voices Educational Institute shares agreements with Holland America Line, Carnival Cruise Line,  Princess Cruises, Lindblad Expeditions, Alaskan Dream Cruises, Boeing Company, UnCruise Adventures, and American Cruise Lines to provide cultural interpretation on board vessels sailing into Glacier Bay National Park in Southeast Alaska as well as destinations throughout Alaska's Inside Passage. Visitors to Glacier Bay can also explore Native culture through a series of programs and lectures offered each month at Glacier Bay Lodge. Cultural Interpreters interact with visitors and provide them with an historical and cultural view of the ties the Huna people have to Sít’ Eeti Gheeyi (Glacier Bay).

Alaska Native Voices Educational Institute is a 501 (c)(3) non profit organization which operates with our partners who visit Glacier Bay and is dedicated to the perpetuation of Native culture by empowering our Cultural Heritage Guides to succeed as well as providing guidance to the public in Native culture, traditions and perspectives through leadership, education and the provision of first-person Native perspectives. Alaska Native Voices Educational Institute recognizes the importance of culture, heritage and homeland. We empower providers of Native Cultural Knowledge, the general public and our partners with responsible and time-honored culturally respectful education and insight.

Alaska Native Voices partners with Huna Totem Corporation, an Alaska Native Corporation owned by over 1,350 shareholders whose aboriginal ties are to the Village of Hoonah in Southeast Alaska. The Corporation was formed under the terms of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA) enacted by Congress December 18, 1971. ANCSA paved the way for the formation of 12 Alaska Native regional corporations and approximately 200 village corporations spread throughout 12 regions in Alaska.

We work closely with our partners at Icy Strait Point, Alaska's only privately owned cruise ship destination and an innovator in Alaskan cultural tourism. Having welcomed over a million visitors to their site since opening in 2004, the experience that we share brings forth unmatched consulting expertise.
